Company file / Dongguan / 2026
We started with a die-maker’s bench.
The company began in 2012 with three people cutting and creasing board for local printers. Fourteen years later, the same structural discipline runs through an 18,000 m² factory—still in Qiaotou, still making the box before talking about the artwork.

The factory floor
A box is a sequence of small, precise decisions.
A structural brief starts with the product: its weight, how it sits in the hand, and how the parcel will travel. We draw the die-line around those facts, not around a template. The board caliper, wrap allowance, and insert clearance are fixed before a print file is accepted.
That discipline is why we still keep a die-making bench, a white-sample table, and a QA bench within sight of the presses. When a lid fits badly or a foil drifts, the person who can change the outcome is on the same floor.
“We are not trying to be the biggest converter in Guangdong. We want to be the one that reads the drawing properly.”

Built in stages, not with a pitch deck.
Each expansion followed a production problem: a bottle that needed a better cradle, a run that needed shorter setup, a customer who needed the certificate in the carton.

2012
A die-maker’s bench in Qiaotou
NORTHBOX starts as a three-person die-making shop serving local printers. The first jobs are structural: fit, fold, and closure.
-
2016
The first offset press
A Heidelberg press moves print in-house. Packaging becomes the primary work, and the company begins hiring press and finishing staff.
-
2019
Rigid boxes, then export
A dedicated rigid box line is installed. The first DDP programs ship to US beauty and wellness brands. Export documentation becomes a permanent desk.
-
2022
Chain of custody
FSC certification and a dedicated QA bench are added. Color, board caliper, and closure tests are recorded per production lot.
-
2025
Second die-cutter, deeper design
A second Bobst die-cutter and an expanded structural design team shorten the route from brief to white sample.
