Production standard / Rev. 2026.10

Production is a chain of custody.

Every handoff has an owner, a measurement, and a document. This is how a packaging brief moves through our factory in Dongguan—from the first CAD line to the signed release on the loading dock.

Process route

From CAD to container.

The route is sequential on purpose. No print plate is made before the dieline is approved; no carton is packed before the inspection record is signed.

Standard sequence
6 stages / 1 production docket

  1. 01

    Design & structure

    2–3 working days

We start with the product envelope, pack weight, and retail or parcel environment. A structural engineer turns that brief into a CAD model and an initial board recommendation.

Output / Structural brief, board call, 3D render, indicative cost

  2. 02

    Die-line & white sample

    7 working days

The cutting die and crease pattern are drawn in ArtiosCAD, then cut on our Kongsberg table. Assembly, lid fit, and insert clearance are checked before print files are touched.

Output / Production die-line, white sample, fit notes

  3. 03

    Prepress & printing

    5–7 working days

Artwork is preflighted, trapped, and proofed against your brand color references. Plates are imaged on site and the job runs offset or digital depending on run length and stock.

Output / Approved proof, CTP plates, printed sheets

  4. 04

    Finishing & assembly

    3–8 working days

Foil, spot UV, emboss, and lamination are registered to the printed sheet. Die-cutting, folding, gluing, and hand assembly follow the approved sample and production docket.

Output / Finished boxes, assembled sets, packed bundles

  5. 05

    Inspection & release

    1–2 working days

Inline inspection watches print defects; the QA team checks dimensions, color, closure, and glue against the approved sample. AQL and dimensional records travel with the lot.

Output / QC report, AQL record, signed release

  6. 06

    Packing & dispatch

    2–4 working days

Export cartons are packed to the agreed count, labelled, and cross-checked against the packing list. We book FOB Shenzhen or DDP delivery and release the document pack.

Output / Packing list, FSC evidence, DDP booking, tracking

Tolerance & inspection

Measured, not eyeballed.

Drawings carry a nominal dimension and an allowed range. Inspection compares the production lot to both—and to the sample you signed.

Technical drawing showing a plus or minus 0.5 millimetre cut tolerance nominal + range height ± 0.5 mm cut / fold
DWG / tolerance detail not to scale

Cut and fold position

±0.5 mm for rigid and paperboard; ±1.0 mm for corrugated

First-off measurement; in-process spot check every 500 sheets

Paper tube diameter

±0.3 mm at seam and at 90°

Go / no-go gauge; cap-fit check at both limits

Print register

±0.15 mm between process colors

Inline registration marks; visual check under 5000K light

Color match

ΔE ≤ 2.0 against approved proof; Pantone ΔE ≤ 1.5

Spectrophotometer, D50 / 2° observer, 10 readings per lot

Board caliper

Within ±5% of the approved board call

Micrometer, five positions per sheet

Glue and closure

Fiber tear on 100% of spot-checked bonds; no opening under 2 kg load

Destructive spot check and open-close cycle test

Final acceptance

AQL 2.5 major / 4.0 minor, ISO 2859-1

Random sample by lot size; 100% inline inspection before packing

Final acceptance uses ISO 2859-1 sampling. Major defects are logged against the lot; any lot outside the approved standard is held before packing.

Certification is a document, not a logo.

We keep the paperwork attached to the production lot. Ask for the certificate set that applies to your job before purchase order.

FSC Chain of Custody

Board certified to FSC Mix or FSC Recycled. Transaction certificates supplied per lot on request.

ISO 9001:2015

Quality management across structural design, prepress, production, and final inspection.

ISO 14001:2015

Environmental controls for board waste, ink handling, and energy use on site.

Sedex SMETA

Social and ethical audit covering labour, health and safety, environment, and business ethics.

Certificate scope and validity are confirmed at quotation. Demo site—documents are illustrative.
